The 3rd UU Fellowship Film & Feast Event will be held on Sunday 24 March, 2019, at 11:30am following the UU Religious Education class. There will be a shared meal preparation, the meal and then the film, along with a short discussion of the film and then planning for the April event.
RSVP to Constance at 715-337-0598 or constance j1950 @ hotmail.com by Friday 22 March with number of participants attending so we can plan the menu portions and with the food item you are bringing. All are welcome!
The Film: Tampopo. 1hour 54 minutes. 1985. Japanese film with English subtitles. Film is the tale, a Ramen Western tale, of an eclectic and eccentric band of culinary characters who guide a widow of a noodle shop on her quest to perfect her recipe. Also features a series of vignettes(or side dishes) that explore various people's experiences with food. One of the most mouth watering examples of food on film ever made.
Menu: Ramen, Mocki ice cream, Sake or plum wine.
Suggestions for food to bring: Sesame oil, chicken & vegetable broth, chicken legs-2 packages, ( I am bringing one package, pre-cooked with the broth) yellow onions, green onions, garlic, whole ginger root, celery, bok choy or spinach, carrots, cilantra, buckwheat ramen noodles, I bought one package of noodles-not sure if we need more), mocki ice cream, (at Walmart) edamame-(soybeans) and sake &/or plum wine.
