Film and Feast

There will not be a shared meal preparation and feast so eat before you arrive or bring your own meal, snacks.
I do ask that you bring food for the local food pantry. Following the film there will be a short discussion.
Then the group will plan and schedule the viewing of a Swedish/English Sundance Now film called We Got This which will be shown in two, two hour and twenty minute segments.
The Film: The Girl in the Cafe. 1 hr 35 min. 2005. An HBO film, not rated. From the writer, Richard Curtis, who wrote Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The Girl in the Cafe stars Kelly Macdonald and Bill Nighy. The film takes place in London and then at a G8 conference on world poverty being held in Reykjavik, Iceland.
This is a "funny, touching love story with a powerful humanitarian message." "Love can't change what's wrong in the world. But it's a good start."
