Our Mission

Mission

The Mission of the Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is to be a continuing beacon of light in the Northwoods of Wisconsin through:

  • Promoting understanding and mutual respect among everyone
  • Promoting Unitarian Universalist principles and beliefs as an alternative to orthodox religions
  • Active involvement in social issues and problems
  • Promoting protection of the environment for the long-term benefit of everyone
  • Providing a place for worship and fellowship in the spirit of the Unitarian Universalist tradition.
  • Accepting the responsibility for honoring and cherishing children and nurturing their characters through spiritual, moral and intellectual guidance and example.

We are a Welcoming Congregation

UU Wisdom

"A living tradition is not bequeathed through some law of inheritance; it must be earned, not without dust and heat, and not without humbling grace."
—James Luther Adams (1901–1994), minister
