Our Mission and Covenant

The mission of the Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowship:

To be a continuing Beacon of Light in the Northwoods of Wisconsin through:

  1. Promoting understanding and mutual respect among everyone
  2. Promoting Unitarian Universalist principles and beliefs as an alternative to orthodox religions.
  3. Active involvement in social issues and problems.
  4. Promoting protection of the environment for the long-term benefit of everyone.
  5. Providing a place for worship and fellowship in the spirit of the Unitarian Universalist tradition.
  6. Accepting the responsibility for honoring and cherishing children and nurturing their characters through spiritual, moral and intellectual guidance and example.

Our Covenant:

The Covenant of the Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is:
  • To practice religion founded upon devotion to individual freedom of belief;
  • To respect the dignity and equality of all people;
  • To live in harmony with the natural world;
  • And to foster liberal religious living through worship, study, service and fellowship.
