NUUF Film & Feast
When this event began back in January 2019 after a discussion at the Tuesday night women's group, a notice went out stating that the films were food for thought and the shared meal preparation for the feast was a foundation for keeping the Fellowship's body and soul together. What we had in mind was designing the activity to be inclusive and welcoming whether you contributed to the meal or not. And personally, it was a means for an introvert like myself to get to know my fellow UU members better and to feel more connected to the Fellowship. So introverts and extroverts alike, know that you all have a place at the table.
November's film choice is called What's Cooking? It is a multicultural story of what happens when families come together for Thanksgiving, a tale of four very different families as they cook together and ultimately discover the power love has to reconnect us all. It's 109 minutes, rated PG 13, an MM Hope and Gravy, Inc. film from 2000. Ebert and Roeper gave it "Two Thumbs Up!"
Menu: Bring a food item you are most thankful for and want to share it with others.
